Gauge cluster question

Hi, I am buying a wrecked 03 636 and it is missing the gauge cluster so I am going to try to buy a used one. I am not very motorcycle oriented (nor engine oriented for that matter) and I was trying to think about how to find the true mileage of the engine. Would the used gauge cluster show that from the computer on the bike?

The plastics are pretty much gone, the forks are bent, the subframe is bent, the headlight is gone, the gauge cluster is gone, and a few other things need replacing. I was just curious if i got a used gauge cluster if it would show the mileage of the bike or the previous bike that it was on.

Does anyone know if you took off a gauge cluster off of another zx6r and put it on another one, would it show the miles of the original bike that it was on or the second bike that you put it on? If someone knows, please respond. Thank you.

I cant speak specifically for these bikes however for cars that i am familiar with the information is held on the clocks not the ECU, so you would NOT get an accurate reading with another set of clocks IMO

Well im pretty sure that it would read the miles from the original bike that it came off of because my wire was cut that lead down to the sensor to tell you mph an miles. Once i reconnected it the miles on the odometer did not jump up they jus continued from where they last were
