Tank Whistles when venting...Normal??

I have an '04 zx6r 636. I've noticed that when it's sitting, sometimes i can hear the tank vent. It whistles and almost sounds like a door buzzer.... is this normal? I am sure that it's the tank, it's not the fuel pump, because the key is off. and it is definately coming from the gas tank.

Yup, normal. It's venting off pressure and vapors. You can hear my 05 from 30 feet away.

FYI, if you whistle back, it usually stops. Try it.

Better be careful, whistling at your bike. Any lady passing by might think you are being a perve. She might think she is sexier than your bike.

If you are worried about it, just open the lid and it will vent without the noise. But like was said earlier, it's perfectly normal.

Alright, that's what i thought, but i figured i'd better make sure... better safe than sorry!

If it bugs you, just open the cap and release the pressure. But it's way more fun to convince the person next to you that you have really high pitched farts.
