Miles to the tank

So I have a 02 zxr and when I got it I filled it up and zero'ed out the trip odometer and drove it all week and it ran out of gas at 106 miles, is that roughly what you guys get? because I was talking to my manager who has two r1's and said he get like 140 miles so just wandering if its the way I ride of is there a tank size diffrence.

WTF?

I have a zx6r 2007 brand new

and i get like 90 miles a tank///

i use supreme - and no - no gas is leaking. I had it inspected

is it because of my high speeds?

or because i have like 400 miles on the bike and its not used to it yet.

What the hell

when i see the FUEL blink - i go refill it

I know for sure i don't get 180 miles a tank - Can someone tell me what the hell?

I get like 90 max - before the fuel blink comes on

I do ride on the highway a lot doing 60mph

I have an '08, and my fuel light comes on around 130 to 140 miles. Yesterday I filled it at 160+ miles and it only took 3.5 gallons. I think my worst tank of gas (I'm only on my sixth) was around 38mpg and my best was around 45mpg.

On my 03 I'm getting 120-125 before the light comes on. I usually go ahead an fill up at the next stop, and put a little less that 3.5gal in. When I calculated it out I am getting 41.8MPG and it was almost exactly the same though 3 consecutive tanks (I put 87, then 89, and finally 93octane). Yes, I know it calls for 91 or better...

07 ZX6R w/ 700 miles: my fuel light comes on at a consistent 168-173 miles. Mine is pretty much stock except for the Two Brothers Slip on. I don't have a PCIII either.

My light usually comes on around 130 miles and I rev it a lot since the engine is much louder than the horn. 05 636, PCIII, Akra full

yeah 41 mpg is the average here. if you have a new bike keep the rpms LOW or your bike wont last long. and of course if you rev the shit outta your engine and take it to high rpms then your mileage will drop signifitntly. i fill up when the tank is half full with 93 octane so debris doesnt get sucked in by the engine when the tank gets low.
