Very, Very Strange....
So I had not ridden my bike all week last week. Had to work yesterday so I took her out and knew I have a pig roast to go to afterwards 40+miles away so I figured Id save some $$ and ride the rocket. I ended up doing about 80+ miles yesterday. Got up this morning, went to the gym with the bike, zipped by Auto Zone and picked up 4qts of Mobil 1 10w40 Motorcycle oil. Figured it has to be better than the cheap oil I used when i first got the bike. Went home, had some food, let the bike cool, went out and pulled the drain plug and went to doing lawn work. swapped filter, added 3.6L of oil, fired her up and let idle. then It happened...
Top end knock???? the whole family is staring at me like wtf did you do..cruised down my driveway and the oil pressure light came on, went back up and parked it. Could it be the $40+ in Mobil1 I used?? or just one hell of a coincidence? bike has 6200 miles and ran perfect before hand.

Wow, that sucks! I did my 1st oil change at 400 miles and used the mobil 1 racing 4rt and haven't had any problems for 1600 miles.
Do you pre-fill the filter with oil? Maybe it's Murphy's law and the filter is bad?
Just yesterday the battery died in my car and I went to the store and bought a new one. I couldn't believe it when the car wouldn't start. It was a brand new bad battery.
Good luck, hope it works out for you.

Try pullin off the filter and look for some metal particles bro, I work on cars for a living but as far as motors go they shouldnt be too different, especially oil change procedure, I dont know but maybe try adding oil to the filter first then installing it.

just trying to help and different machine
My ds650 atv is notorious for getting air in the lines after an oil change. Bombardier put a bleeder screw behind the oil filter to bleed off the air when the oil light would come on.
just a thought

Hey Mike, that's an old myth. The main thing would be the oil is designed for a wet clutch.
Either way, syn or reg or viscosity wouldn't give his symptoms. It has to be the filter or air in the system for those immediate results.
or worse yet, is there oil showing in the sight glass?

congrats, you just burped your bike. its a kaw. thing. some people have to do it every oil change. i think it has to do with how long you let the old oil drain out. i have to burp mine at every oil change.
