anywhere till redline. 5500 is fine. no harm at either rpm. you get worse mpg at 7000

not neccessarilly. the bikes do like to be babied, but you do need to clear them out once in a while. They also like to be run into the ground as well. If you do baby it, after a while you will foul a plug or two and start to get carbon build up, along with getting gunk in your oil. But that's all over a period of time.

these motors are pretty strong and uphold some abuse so dont be afraid to get in her alittle, i street ride and dragrace my 04 and never even been inside the motor beside puttin clutches in once and she's got 18k on the odometer but the mileage is lesser bc i have a -1+2 sprocket setup on it

These bikes are designed for 'high' RPM, I say use all of them. When cruzing at 60 or 70 for gas milage purposes 6th gear is fine.
