....NO ONE IS TOO GOOD TO HAVE SLIDERS... if you take pride in what you put your money into, you would have bought the sliders the FIRST DAY you got the bike... I got mine the first DAY!!!!... this is my first bike ever.. first summer riding... and the SALES REP... dropped my bike showing me a few things about it after I paid for it.... lucky I had them put the sliders on before that because its the nly thing that saved my bike... NO SCRATCHES whatsoever... and I got a free slider out of it... As for your bike sliding... yea sliders will help but donno how much.. havent witnessed it yet.

Well not that anyone cares, nor am I claiming any expertise, but I'm a 3rd year medical student and based on what we've learned 2 beers can very well be enough to blow a 0.08 depending on the persons size and how long it has been since they've had the drinks.
Usually what advice is given is that for every drink you have, it takes about an hour to completely "dissipate." I still would even execute this general statement with caution when it comes to motorcycles simply because they require you to balance, be alert in so many phases of your ride (you, your bike, your balance, your shifting, your breaking, your road in front of you, other drivers, the weather, animals, etc etc) while your car you can really get away with a lack "concentration" or ability to do so.
Mind you I don't condone driving when you are even the slightest bit impaired because God only knows I've seen some bad accidents in the ER, many which have lead to death. Ride safely - not only is your life worth a few hours of sobering up (but I'd advocate not riding that night) but you owe it to your friends and family who worry about you simply because you ride. I love my ZX-6R, but if I ever start making bad decisions like drinking and riding, it would be the end of me riding and the end of such a fun fun hobby.
Be Safe (yes this message was sponsored by your local don't be an idiot on your bike VFW chapter haha)

I can't help but to chime in on this thread as it pertains to the alcohol comments, because only heart-felt opinions are being stated. Allow me to share some facts:
No, its not a good idea to drink and ride because anything can happen at any time, alcohol consumed or not. Yes, alcohol consumption does have an affect on a persons motor skills but, even according to US Gov and independent studies, a persons motor skills are only slightly impacted when a person blows under .13, which by the way is the "penalty threshold" for most court rulings thus, incremental punishment levels. Prior to that threshold, and based on when a person eats, their rest level, etc. alcohol doesn't have enough effect to "cause" an accident - that crap is M.A.D.D. propaganda! In addition, it is dehydration of the body AND the level of a persons blood alcohol level that leads to a person acting "rummy", thus a swerving affect both walking and driving. Ever see a guy try to walk through a desert? HINT: Drink one glass of water to every cold one! Lastly, would it surprise any of you to know that more US children die by drowning in backyard swimming pools each year than those that die of the result of drunk drivers? Would it also surprise you to know that due to the lobbying efforts of M.A.D.D. that when a driver is 100% sober and gets into an accident, that if ANYONE in the car has been drinking the accident is tallied as "alcohol related" by the cops? Statistics LIE !!! Don't be fooled by B.S. and opinions...get the facts = read US Gov statistical data! Okay...I'm calm now.
