Is my speedo off?
Ever since I did the jumper mod on my 07 zx6r, it seems like my speedo has been off, telling me im going faster than I really am. In 6th gear at 6k rpms, I do right around 67-68mph. Can someone compare this next time they are riding please? I would appreciate it.

I got new front and rear sprockets and at 6 grand i am goin 60. I also got a speedo healer. I have a feeling your speedo is off. Although mysprockets are different your rpms should be a little lower then mine at 6 grand. I hope this helps a little.

I got it from sprocket specialists. Even tho they dont make a kit for the bike, my dealer had one custom built to what I wanted. I also got a new chain to go with it. I went -1 in the front and +4 in the back. I am very pleased with the sprockets so if you want this brand your dealer will have to ask to have it custom built.

From the factory your speedo is 10-12% higher than corrected true speed measured with radar or GPS. Get a speedo healer if you need to correct your speedo.

From memory I think I got a speed/gear calculator from Zx6r.fanclub.ms. but if you search around there will no doubt be others.

The next time someone is out on their 07 6r could you please just take notice what your speed is at 6k rpms in 6th gear. Or has anyone even heard of the jumper mod throwing off a speedo? The reason why this is even an issue is because one night i was cruising down the highway and got next to a new civic with a digital display speedo and there was about an 8mph difference between my speed and her speed.

Ey Starsnstraps sorry haven't got the time to come back and tell you my results. Cruising in 6th gear @ 6k rpm my showed 68-69mph. So from the look of it your little jumper mod didnt hurt it cause i tried like a million times and same result so your good and i have a stock internal bike.
