Rebuilding Bike - Recommend any mods?

I am rebuilding my bike this weekend. I will be tearing it down completely and rebuilding it on a new frame. Anyway, I was wondering if there are any mods i should do while the bike is in pieces that would otherwise be nearly impossible when it is reassembled. thanks. 06 zx6r

how about painting the frame? sub frame?

thought about that, however my bike is the special edition color, i think it might look a bit tacky, no?
