I posted pics somewhere in Off Topic recently but here it is.
Some might notice it is Yamaha Blue, I used to own an R6. They looked good together...

No one more than me!!
Okay I called my powder coat guy, everything is done and he is clearcoating it tonight or tomorrow. It will all be ready for pick up Saturday, so I should be able to have the wheels back on my Monday afternoon.
Little setback, apparantly the passenger handles ARE NOT aluminum as I thought they were, so no powdercoating for them. I am taking those to paint I guess, maybe black to match the huge Jolly Roger flag I am having airbrushed up both sides and onto the tank.
Don't be too anxious to see this though, I leave for California on Wednsday and won't be back for 30 days. Once I get back though I will have ordered everything and be ready for assembly.
I am so stoked about this..

Nice truck, us minitruckers are everywhere huh???
If I ever quit having to drive mine I want to do a body drop, but honestly I am kind of burned out on trucks nowadays. I think I want to build a muscle car now.

Just got back from getting my wheels, they turned out great. I will post pics in the morning.
Cost a bit more than I was thinking, after quoting the wheels at $125 I threw in the peg hangers and instrument cage. I told him to just let me know how much extra it would be. Well apparantly he needed $75 extra because it all costs me $200. Oh well, he did a good job I will just be sure to have EVERYTHING quoted before I go back to him.
As for the passenger handles (I thought they were aluminum) I dropped them off to the paint guy while I was in town, I suppose I will just have them painted when they do the airbrushing since the silver I want on the design is going to match the wheels anyway.

Here they are. I am really loving this color, if I didn't want this bike up soon I would do the frame!...
The pics don't really do it justice, they have an awesome gleam to them especially in the daylight.
I also did the front cage, but I left it with my paint guy so he can match the color with the airbrushing.
Let me know what you think..

OKAY HERES AN UPDATE:
I GOT MY WHEELS RE-ASSEMBLED EARLIER THIS WEEK, NOW I JUST NEED TO GET THEM BACK TO THE TIRE SHOP FOR A REMOUNT. I THINK I AM ALSO GOING TO GET NEW BEARINGS AS IT IS SUGGESTED BY THE SERVICE MANUAL.
I ALSO ORDERED MY LOWERING LINKS AND PUT THEM ON LAST NIGHT.
VERY IMPORTANT! I DISCOVERED THIS AFTER STUDYING THE GEOMETRICS OF THE BIKE, YOU HAVE TO SUPPORT THE BIKE ITSELF AND HAVE THE REAR WHEEL/SWINGARM FREE TO PUT THESE ON. IF YOU REMOVE THE LINK WITHOUT DOING SO THE REAR SWINGARM IS FREE AND THE BIKE WILL DROP.
NEW LINK
REAR SHOT
THE LOWER BOLT THAT HAS TO BE REMOVED WAS A BITCH SINCE IT HAD TO BE PULLED DIRECTLY UNDER THE EXHAUST PIPE. i LOOSENED THE REAR EXHAUST MOUNTING BOLT AND TAPPED THE SUSPENSION BOLT OUT AS BEST I COULD, BUT IT STILL SCRATCHED. WHEN I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER THOUGH I REVERSED IT SO THE NUT WAS TO THE RIGHT INSTEAD OF THE BOLT HEAD. THIS WAY IF I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN THE BOLT WILL COME OUT TO THE LEFT JUST FINE.
HERE IS HOW I SUPPORTED THE BIKE. WASN'T REALLY HAPPY ABOUT IT SO I LAID STUFF OUT IN CASE THE BIKE TIPPED. I ALSO LOOSENED ALL THE BOLTS BEFORE LIFTING IT SO I WASN'T JERKING THE BIKE WHILE IN THIS QUESTIONABLE POSITION.
THATS IT FOR NOW, CURRENTLY LOOKING AT SOME COOL FOOTPEGS AND RACING MIRRORS (WHY THEY ARE CALLED RACING MIRRORS I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THEY COME OFF FOR TRACK DAY)...

Here you go, 23 bucks too. WAY cheaper than others I have bought.
http://www.motosport.com/street/prod...Y=&cat0=METRIC
UPDATE: I also ordered my mirrors, I went with these universals.
I was going to order the "ZXR" mounting plates that go with them, but I just couldn't justify spending $20 for two pieces of aluminum. So I made them myself, they turned out pretty sweet I will post pics of them tomorrow.

Here are the mirror plates I was going to buy, but they cost 15 bucks plus 9 shipping..
Here are the ones I made. I went a little more teardrop shaped. I hope they fit, I don't have my new mirros yet but I modeled these to fit the original mirror brackets so they should work well.
Also changed the oil for the hell of it. Not the most exciting update but not much to do until I get my plastics back..

Well heres another exciting UPDATE.
Ordered my stickers today, here they are.
52 bucks shipped. Not the same colors though, I went with metallic charcoal shawdowed in black. Should match my airbrushing nicely.
Also went with these 2000 decals although mine is an 01'. The 01' decals put the "ZX6R" sticker right across the center of the side fairing, over where my graphics are going to be. But the 2000 model put a smaller "ZX6R" above the front turn signals where it woun't interfere.
Thats it, mirrors should be here tomorrow.

Ordered some gear this week.
Jacket, Only paid 67 bucks! I highly recommend www.leatherup.com. They have mostly cruiser jackets but there are a good number of sportbike gear and helmets too.
Heres the hemlet I am looking at. Great deal on this one too, only 50 bucks..

Just be careful about the helmet. Cheaper is not always better.... I would say skimp out on some other stuff and go cheaper where you can, but the brain bucket is not something to cut corners on.... Saving money on a helmet won't do you any good if you're a vegetable later and can't enjoy spending the money you saved. It's a vicious circle.
Enough about that... show us the bike already!!
You're just making us wait in an attempt to build up the suspense for a dramatic unveiling, admit it.
