roaring toyz extensions

I recently took my roaring toyz extensions off and it was almost imposible. They are attached with two allen screws on each side. I might of had them too tight, because I broke and bent two allen sockets trying to get them off. Just wondering what the torque spec is for them for the next time I use them. Should I put a little oil on the threads also? I usually do that with alum engine fastners. Or is it a light torque with locktite? Thanks!

Why did you remove them just curious if you didn't like them or what?

extensions

BB14...I definately like the looks better with them. However I am not using that bike for any drag racing or top speed stuff right now, mostly street duty. So I wanted to bring back some better handling and set up for street use.

Copy that crookedways I am in sorta the same boat I am running 185 hp at the rear and could benefit from the extension I'm sure but don't like the look I do how ever think the 14 rear is a couple inches to far forward in the frame as far as looks goes so I'm going to use my machine shop connection to build a set of 2-4 inch extensions. I have a good friend that rides a 12r and runs 6" extensions I don't like the look and we can run circles around him on the twisties but he get's good use out of them since he runs a 1470 head kit and nitrous.
I know I won't see the same befit from 2' ext as I would a six or 10" unit but I think it's a good streetable compromise. I will get the leverage from the extra 2 or three inches and the bike will be better proportioned as far as the wheel not being tucked under the tail so far (thats the one thing I haven't liked about the 14 and probably the only thing). any way I will find out this spring when there complete and I'm riding them. All of that said if you have a service manual it has a section devoted to general bolt size torque specs you can get a good idea where it should be torqued to from there. or a good factory tech should have access to some general bolt torque specs also.
