swingarms

can anyone tell me how much twistey handling i will loose with a 6 inch arm ,unfortunately id have to lower with links, new stand ,chain and brake line. alot of cash to ruin the ride??? i know some track tuners and track guys say it will ruin the ride, i cant see it being that bad... and i know that alters the comfort level also i drive 100mph everywhere i go . alot of highway but when we hit the twisties or sweepers i like to lean it all the way down like a 600cc .. replys would be helpfull thankyou.

Frankly I can't see how you will reach the handlebars with 6in arms.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
You are talking about a 6in swingarm extension right?

my buddy has a 13 inch stretch on his 636 and he leans just as well as i do on the stock swing arm on my 14 and my buddy's busa. the only problem he has is turning around he takes a lot of backing up and forward.

Yeah I'm about to put extensions on my 07 zx10. I have some on my 04 zx10. Matter of fact me and buddy went ridin today. He rode one of mine 1/2 way and the other 1/2 we switched up. I just have a blast ridin a stretched bike. You have to lean it a little more. Unless you are a serious knee dragger i think you'll love it stretched. Especially when you pin and just hear the tire light up and don't have to worry about the thing flippin over,

ye ha, hey i thank all you guys but i cant make up my mind i had streched arms on my harley drag bikes but just got into the zx14 madness in 07 the add on extensions wouldnt be bad ,cause i could change back and fourth but they look like crap and brock has some trick adj. links too ,again alot of cash and aggrevation, i like the 100 120mph sweepers quarter or half mile long, ide hate for the ass end to pogo or skip out at that speed,,, if anybody has any opinions plese let me know...

My riding buddy also has a 12r with 6 ext on it and we run cicles around him he will be the first to admit he isn't Rossi but he will also tell you he lost a lot of handling but he like s the looks and they serve a purpose for his app he has a 1470 head kit and nitrous so he uses the extra leaverage he gets from it to keep the front end down. It's all a matter of taste and needs. What do you want to sacrifce handle or launch ablility or is the bling that your after??
