Tires
Hey guys. I have a 06 14 and im looking for some good tires that heat up easy and will peform good. i dont want to spend lots of money. what would you say the best tire is for this wonderful machine??
i like the shinko's. they heat up nice and bite hard.
any suggestions?

I would suggest the Diablos... or the stock axes...

yeah they are a little high but i think they are the best tire for the bike...

Go to a Yamaha or Honda dealership. I bought a set of Shinko's for $280 new. That included mounting and balancing.

Make sure you get the Shinko Advance or else you will have a hard time with the Shinko Stealths

are the advance the ones with the dots in them or the strret tread pattern?

my buddy has those on his 636 but ive heard from one or two that the other are better but they are mainly for the track

Yeah, I know that the Stealths are the bad ass tires for the track, and so are the Advances, but they are more for touring than track.

how long do you think it would take to wear out the stealths because i just criuse no track riding or anything like that?
