m4 exhaust slip on question
Has anyone taken out the cone inserts from the m4 slip ons? And is there packing in them? Can you ride without the inserts?

How loud are they with the inserts in them? Compared to a full size aftermarket pipe? Thanks

Is that with the inserts in them, the way they are when you buy them? I do love the way they look, they look really awesome. I like the way they have a big opening at the end.

They are loud out of the box with the cones in. When you are in gears 1-3 running up through the RPM's they are a lot louder than when you are crusing.. They are still loud enough that ear plugs had to become part of my regiment... even crusing you can still hear them with plugs in. Any one infront or behind you can tell all of your throttle movements...

Those pipes look "awesome" on that bike. I think they are the best looking pipes out right now and I like what I am hearing about how loud they are, because when I pull out on my ZX 14 I want it to be nice and loud because that is how a bike that is this powerful and fast should sound it needs the sound to match its tough looks!

One of the best things about them is that you do not have to do any trimming of the plastics...... I know on about all of the Muzzy aplications you ahve to trim the lower fairings to make the pipes fit. Of course this is mostl due to the Muzzy being full systems...

Hey I Just Put The M4 On The Bike Today!!!! Awesome!! Just Wondering How Would You Take The Inserts Out If You Wanted To. ( Not That I Want To) Its Loud Just Like I Wanted It. Question?? Will It Hurt The Bike To Ride It With Those Pipes On There And No Power Commander?

Taking out the inserts is easy there is one small philips screw in the pipe facing the frame. It sounds alot cleaner without it cleaner bass not really any louder at all, but it eliminates the hissing noise that is created by the baffles.
