insurance

Alright. I just picked up an extremly low milage 14 last weekend. I had a zx-12r that I got rid of last year and got the itch back pretty quickly. Question about insurance. I have Lib Mutual for cars and had them with the 12r. They gave me a quote and then wrote the policy when I went to pick up the bike. It was 860 for full cov with 1000 deduct for col and comp. Monday, they called me and told me they couldn't insure the 14 because it was on the "do not insure" bike list. Nice!
Anyhow, I got a quote from progressive for the same cov @ 560/year. I live in San Diego, have a clean lic mulitple discounts. Anyone in southern cal have exper with progressive or recomends a different company? Thanks

Very helpful. I did a search on insurance and nothing came up the first time. That's to this, I contacted State Farm and got full coverage for $450/yr with a 250 deduct. I can now buy you a beer!
I just want to add, this is an amazing bike. When I bought my 04 zx-12 3 years back, I expected to get blown away by it's power. Not really. The 14 on the other hand left me intimidated on my first decent ride.

Try Elton Porter. I'm 27, one accident on my record. Mine is $98.00/month, and it's supposed to drop to $77.00/month after I take an approved "safety course." That's full coverage with $1000.00 deductible.
