The last couple of weeks MCN in the UK have tested the ZZR1400 (same bike as ZX-14) against the Busa, ZX-12R, BMW K1200S & Blackbird.

On test tracks the ZZR came out top in every test, 1/4 mile, 40-120 roll on, top speed, dyno, handling, only the BMW beat it at braking.

On the road they rated the BMW best overall, then 14, Busa with the 12R & BB bringing up the rear.

Well it didn't take long to dig this info up... so you tell me...

Suzuki GSX1300R 9.86 sec @ 145.80 mph [Performed by CycleWorld magazine rider] , rated at 175hp.

[From another board] Kawasaki ZZR-1400 1320ft 9.36 @ 147.71 rated at 187 hp (197hp with effective ram air)

Check out the live tests by guys like you and I... well maybe a little crazier than you and I ...

I don't think I'll ever break into the 9's but I can tell you that it is damn fast! Keeping the tach under 6000, it takes a gentle throttle hand to keep the front wheel on the ground.

When I get another 800 km on my 14 I hope to get into the 9's stock @ over 3000 ft. This could be a little optimistic but the bike sure pulls hard so all I can do is try.
