PC III vs. Power card

I'm planning on looking at removing the secondary butterflies this spring and putting in an air filter and getting a Power commander but I just saw an ad for a power card. I wanted to see if anyone has one for their 14 and if so, how is it? According to their website www.powercardtuning.com it is similar in function to a power commander but it doesn't use throttle postion and rpm as the indicator as to how much fuel to add but rather engine load and gear. It sounds better in terms of efficiency but hard to say if it really works. Power commanders are tried and true. Also, I justs purchased lowering links and plan on dropping the back of the bike 1.25 inches and trying to see if I should do the same on the front. I don't want to use a strap and plan on dropping it on the triple tree. If anyone has lowered their bike and uses it on the street, feedback on the handling change in the twisties would be great. Of course, any comments or feedback is appreciated!

Don't know much about the power card but I have the PCIIusb and had a custom map burnt for my mods full micron system and flies out. Very happy with throttle response, idle and performance. I have also lowered using the Yanashiki links, went to the middlesetting the lowest setting will give you a black streak in your crotch if you ride hard enough if you know what I mean. I dropped the tree on the forks about 1.00" maybe a hair more, the top of the forks are almost even with the top of the tree now. I have had no handling issues to speak of with the exception of the instance when my ego overode my senses and I rode a wheelie a little far and didn't have room to let'er down easy and bottomed out the front. no visible damage other than the ego. I find it handles exremely well for a heavier bike much lighter on the road than I thought it would be before I rode it. Here is the before and after lowering pics. The rear set's down real nice with the riders weight on it and the bike has a definite lowered look to it. I set the links on the lowest position but it's to low for real street riding bottomed out more than once left it set in the middle position.
Good luck and happy wrenching

You're my boy blue! (Sorry, had to put that quote in from old school) Who did the map for you? Good to know about the handling once lowered. I'm short and want to be able to launch the bike better at the track for draggin but I use the bike on the street just as much. I did the same thing with my ZX-12 and when I lowered it, I had issues with wheelies too. Same thing, it would bottom out, even when I stiffened the springs up. Then I realized that the oil plug guard was worn off and it ended up grinding my oil plug bolt down. So you may want to watch that or your pipes The 12 was an inch higher than the 14 though (stock) so lowering it an inch made it what the 14 is stock! I don't plan on intentionally wheeling this beast but it does come up in first and second with a good launch at the track so.... Damn, your bike definitely looks nastier lowered though, mean!

Catch you on the flip. Thanks

Sorry for the delay didn't see the reply. I had the bike mapped by Quantum motorsports here in Dayton Ohio they did a very nice job and bothered to follow up on things with me a few days later and offerd to tweak it if it wasn't exactly what I wanted. I went from 171.8rear wheel hp to 183 just from the map. I was impressed at the difference. It just sits there and lopes like it has a nasty cam in it people have actually asked me if it has a supercharger in it. i think because of that mechanical whining the 14 makes coupled with the loping of the engine it just sounds awsome with the Micron system. If your ever in the dayton area with your bike look up Steve and Brian at Quantum.
