--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know you guys aren't going to believe me but, as my name is Rickey Gadson, I swear all results are true and honest!
I wanted to post Dyno results in stages, but Frank must have a lock on pictures, as I have not been able to post graphs since last week sometime.
I find it hard to believe myself but, this 2008 ZX14 is....what it is!
I wouldn't associate my name with this if I did not think I could duplicate it with any 08 ZX14.
UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE
Today I received my new Prototype exhaust pipe from Muzzys which he has been extensively testing with the 1530cc\ 240hp pkg.
It looks like the M-10 with different dimensions, but it obviously works!
I dynoed the 08 today with now 119 miles on it, and it made 179.6.
One hr later I was ready to go back on the dyno as to keep the conditions the same.
The graph went from 179hp to 188hp with pump gas.
After a few runs to heat cycle the bike it jump up to 190.
A few more cycles and bam.......191.4
On the next run the bike started to run out of fuel and made more hp because it leaned out before it ran out.
That told me it was gonna love U4.....and luv it did.
4 runs lata 197.0 but what was unbelievable was the torque..................120 ftlbs with NO tuning!!
DAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNN!
Lets recap all mods from crate til now:
lowered front and rear
Ceramic wheel bearings(World wide bearings)
no filter
Muzzys new (M-14) pipe
-1 tooth on rear (40 tooth)
U 4 fuel
things still stock:
chain(til tomorrow)
No Power commander
tire
secondarys still in place
will post graph when possible.

I think you'll be able to pull more than 183 with the right tune.

There are a lot of tricks you can use to post a higher #'s like over lubing the chain pulling one of the crankcase filters overtightening the chian, putting on a solid chain instead of an o-ring or x-ring, ceramic bearings, and some others also depends on the dyno, the temp the altitude etc., this one is a known conservative dyno the tuner says he could send me to another guy and he could get me to 190-195hp just by using his dyno instead. It's just a peice of paper to me, it is what it is I guess the tracks the only real place to see who's got what? you could very well be right about getting a better result but the guys that did it are right down the street from Brocks and work together on a lot of bikes so I geuss I trust them for now. Got a few plans for the winter (Phase II I suppose has started much sooner than anticipated) so we'll see maybe I'll have Brocks run it on there dyno just to see what I get there.
My theory is I wanted to see he difference in the map alone (before and after the map) did three pulls before and after and made 11hp just from the custom map, and the torque curve is like a straight line very smooth. You would have to pull every bike on the same dyno to really do a comparison. I don't put much stock in the numbers as a total from bike to bike, just as a relative base line to future improvements. get a base pull before you build and go back to the same dyno each time or your foolin yourself.
hobbs 74; Yes the map is worth the dough. I would not have been comfortable running the Hindle map from Dyno jet that came with the pcIII. it was close and would'nt have hurt the bike but the difference was huge. I highly recomend the investment.

Amen Brother my thoughts exactly.
Got friends that say there going to use a dynojet map and then customize it with the buttons themselves? I tried to explian to them that the have nothing to base there changes on with out seeing the active fuel/air ratio that should be around 13:1 thats the benefit of the dealer sofware and the dyno they will or should present your bike with a map that delivers that perfect ratio all the way from top to bottomn of the rpm range.
You won't regret it.

WaY To Go Bluebomber! Sounds Like A Few Of These Guy Are Getting A Bit Carried Away With Their Dyno Print-outs!! Lucky U Lot Dont Live In Aus! The Dynos Around Here Read A Fair Bit Lower Than Your Dynojet Dynos. Thats Why We All Drive A Couple Hours To A Nearby Drag Strip For Test And Tune Days, There U Get To See Who Has The Real Horse Power!!!
