Spectra Chrome

Any of you ever heard of this stuff? Or had dealings with it? Looks awesome and some of the videos make it look tough as nails. I could think of alot of good uses for this stuff on my bike.

Looks good in their ads. Can't be as durable as actual chrome plating on metal, but is most likely OK for plastic parts that previously had to be vacuum-plated. I would like to see some before-and-after parts in person before I'd say yay or nay.

Yeah it ain't cheap! They did that busa's seat in it, pretty slick. Not for me but you know... I could, however, think of lots of things on my bike to use it for. I used to have a snare drum that was black nickel plated. Looks bad ass, like chrome but black...kinda hard to explain. I would like to some some various parts in something like that...maybe the plastics.

HAHA!

Notice how I said I knew OF a guy... if you can stomach his other vids look at em. who spends 40-50 grand customizing a bike and then leaves home without a helmet? Just plain stupid if you ask me.

I think that is what it is called. I would like to do some of the stuff on my bike in it. If this stuff is as good as they say it is the body would look sick in it with chrome rims and other accents.

They both appear to do the same thing pretty well. When I have more time I may figure out which is more cost effective. The chrome in a can is interesting. Thanks for that link.

Yeah the full production systems are the same thing. They have several videos showing the cans being used, looks pretty simple. not cheap but cheaper than chrome. they also have several other effects like the ice and "crystal effects" in can form also that look pretty cool.

Yeah I was checking out the different effects and stuff. All in all it looks pretty good. They make it look easy to do. I wonder how east any of them are on something like rims. I am no painter though so I could be overevaluating.
