I am using the little waterproof leds from http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips

http://www.bodydot.com/gallery-588-My-new-ZX14.html

But I can't recommend them. They burn out fast. I have about 12 in various locations, and have 4 burn out and had to replace them. 1 year time.

I'm using the LED Flex strips too. I got mine from ledaccentlights.net and I've had all but zero problems. No burn outs and everything is still glued on. Only problem I had was one of the strips was defective out of the bag. Only lit up half of the LEDs. Sent them an email about it and no questions asked, they shipped out a replacement the following day.

As for where to put them, I've got them everywhere. Try using a little piece of tape and just experiment with where you think they look best. I like the flex strips because you don't have to find room for a pod and they r self-adhesive. The biggest pain is running the wires and being able to disconnect them for maintenance purposes.

Electroglow or something like that.

Speaking of.... I just fixed my computer because I accidentally stepped on the screen. So now I have to send that loco guy a pic of my set up underneath the seat.

By the way, in most states it's illegal to:

- Have the lights directly visible
- Have red lights

California is one of them.

I put "blinders" on mine. I got a piece of black plastic from home depot, and put black plastic around each light so you can see the effect of the light (shines on the bike), but doesn't shine in your eyes. If you stand back 15 feet from my bike, it glows blue, but you can't see the light directly. You also cannot have the light shine on the road.

I also put mine on a 3 way switch: always on, always off, accessory. I ususally leave it on accessory - when I start the bike it comes on. always on is for when I sit at a bike show, and off is when I am passing a cop :-)

I have 2 strips from http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips sitting on the fork and 20 leds from http://ledaccentlights.net. I originally started with http://ledaccentlights.net because he gives good tutorials and everything out the box. The leds are night as bright as I wanted so I used oznium.com. I've purchased from both for by 600, http://ledaccentlights.net has a lifetime warranty while oznium.com has a 1 year warranty. I gonna add some more strips over the winter. I only have pics from my install [camperjohn64 gave alot of insight], none at night. I will try to take some soon. I have a waterproof on/off switch but I ran my power from the rear tail light, therefore is my bike is not ON, no LED's.

Try Customdynamics.com or PlasmaLED.com the Plasma LED stuff I used on my sisters GSXR and my 14 and worked out very well and was very inexpensive. In fact one of them didn't work so I called and they shipped me new ones no questions asked the next day. Good guys. The Dynamics site is huge if you cant find what your looking for there your not looking right. Thats where I got my Angel Eyes and Micro nine led for the intake.

blue i appreciate that, i am thinking about going with stingerz with remote kit i think it is 90 or 100 leds i'll prob. do that. i almost had a shop install when i got my chrome, but that wanted a good amount to do it. that also were telling me they needed to pull my front head off in order to do the tunnel/air ram led. i don't that is needed. did you have to pull urs off? i think i should be able to drill a small hole and run the wire that way. also i don't know what to do for quick disconnects any ideas???

By the way, I "splurged" for the remote control. Like an extra $25 (I think).

U can still put the switch that comes with the kit anyways, or you can leave it off.

I didn't initially install that switch, just the remote control module, but I'm going to mount it as a emergency kill switch for the lights. Fumbling for a remote control with gloves on is next to impossible. Just my 2 cents.

I think I paid $127 for the 96 light kit with the remote control. It looks like it's on sale right now so you definitely get a better deal than I did.

I "ran out" of lights with just the 96 kit and bought another 60 light kit for another $50 or so.

Total, I've spent about $180 I guess.

They are all blue lights. BTW, I haven't mounted all of the strips. I still have 6 left. I am gonna mount at least 4 on the bottom middle fairings. Just been lazy and haven't had the desire to wire the damn things up.

I wonder how the purple would look. Technically those are the ultraviolet so they wouldn't be so bright. Might be easier to avoid trouble with the po-po if they weren't so damn bright. And yes I like to ride with them on. Don't anybody jinx me and bring up the legality of it. I know I know.

i feel u mad, i was just asking about the blue, because i know the purple is half as bright per the seller, so i am going to go with blue. i am worried about the po po cause i live in va where u can't do shit that looks good. i have had a bozziillliioon tickets for car illegal mods when i was younger, but i don't ride at night alot and with the remote you can always dem them down while riding and hope that i don't have any probs. so did you buy the 60 from the same company? i don't know any other color that would go with my bike other than blue you know.
