Muzzy Slotted Timing Advancer
Hey does anyone here have the Muzzy timing wheel? I was thinking of getting one but want to see if you notice a difference? Also thinking of adding the Muzzy velocity stacks.

Can't speak for the advancer but the stacks will give you a few hp, I love mine. Get the midrange ones, not the top end ones.

If you have the PCV the timing can be advanced through it, no need for the key, just get the stacks. Also, the Muzzy M10 can will lay down better dyno numbers than the traditional can but sine you already heve a can the price would be hard to justify.

R you sure you can advance the timing with the PCV? I didn't see any where that showed timing adjustments.....

Yeah, that's the main upgrade from the PCIII to the V is the ignition adjustment ability along with the Auto Tune compatability.

Hold on, I may have spoken a bit prematurely. I know for a fact that the PCV for my Polaris 850 quad adjusts timing so I assumed this was a feature for all PCV's across the board. I might be wrong on this one, I'll poke around & find out for sure. Anyone else know for certain?

I think you're right. Looks like you need the DynoJet Ignition Module in this case. It is model specific as to which bikes benefit from timing adjustability. Harley Davidsons have the adjustability built in for example. Certainly no justification to go out & buy a Hog though!

You’re right on that one! Not unless they are having a three for the price of one sale! lol Well I ordered the stacks n the timing wheel they should be in this week. I'm going to install them then bring it to my tuner. It will be interesting to see how much power I make with them. My tuner has my Dyno results from my last visit so we can compare..

Man I'm really looking forward to the results! I'm going to take a guess you'll gain 6-7 at the wheel. Any other takers? Also make sure you fill her up with 93 to take advantage of the added timimg!

timing
Remove lower right fairing.Remove ignition cover(bike on KICKSTAND).Hold rear brake.Remove timing wheel bolt(counterclockwise to loosen).Install new advancer, allens facing out.Tighten advancer bolt to specified torque(holding brake pedal).Loosen allens, turn outer wheel ONE line ONLY in the direction of etched arrow(off of center etched line).Blue locktite allens-tighten down(be cautious of stripping them by overtightening! If you remove them completely,be careful to get them STRAIGHT back in -and you may want to put a small rag under the advancer there in case one pops off of your allen wrench).Recheck marks on wheel.Clean gasket surfaces of any debris.Leave rubber gasket installed in it's groove.Use high temp copper silicone to seal cover plate(apply "lightly" around cover surface-wipe off any overlap BEFORE installing cover).Make sure the two metal wire holder tabs are installed OUTSIDE of the cover(not between the cover and housing)Tighten bolts crisscross pattern with final tightening in a circle(DO NOT STRIP!!).Let sit for a while.Clean off any silicone sealant around mating surface.Reinstall lower fairing....you're done!Enjoy!! Check for oil seeps at least once during next ride...ONE LINE ONLY!!!That's 4 degrees.Anywhere in between the 1st line and the center line will work, but true 4 degrees(recommended)is at one line only.
