Headlight protection
Anyone using any of the protective films for their headlights on the ZX14? I can have bodywork repainted down the road as general wear and tear accumulates from front tire debris abuse but I'd prefer not to replace the plastic headlight covers after they get nicked up over time. What is a popular method/kit that you've tried and like?

Citation10 sells headlight film/covers. You might want to check it out. I know he's got it on his personal bike.

That could be a good question but then how many miles or years would it take . I dont get the spring sand here like when I lived in Ia. or MN. as those areas ate my Jeep windshild in a year or two . Down here in Texas I did 70K miles and 6 years and it was just starting to show .
I wrote about the jeep as they have a pretty flat front windshild so I can guess about the pitting of front glass. Do you get a lot on your cars down there or is it sun fade ? that frosty look ?

My buddies and I have spirited weekly rides almost year round. The desolate areas we go tend to have minor debris that gets kicked up at times and we don't ride with huge spacing when throwing it through the twisties...hence...gravel, etc. Already nicked up in a few places after 5500 miles in 3 months.

I get a ton of bugs and grit and the glass lenses are pitted from it, so i have been thinking of doing the film, let us know how it turns out if you get them on your bike.

if its a lot already you may want to do the whole proctect kit from Tank Slapper .
I put some on my ST1300 and all I say is it seems to work but take your time , take your time , take your time , take your time , as the longer you take the better it looks
