What's Wrong With This Picture
I have been looking for some slip ons to improve the sound a little bit. From what I have read the D&D and 2 Bro are too loud. I was looking at JC Motors site and saw 2 Bro slip ons for $629 yet a full Muzzy system is only $615. I realize the Muzzy has one muffler, but it would seem to me the way to go would be the full Muzzy.
Is there any reason to not go with the Muzzy system?
BTW I have a 2 Bro on my '08 Bandit and it is fairly loud.

Look around at all kinds of systems, full and slip on. You will see price discrepancies. The prices can be from the product to number of cans to what the system is made of (aluminum, titanium, etc...)

The only reason to run slips ons is to keep the dual look if that's what you like. Your best performance will come from a 4 into 1 system, also your best sound. You'll save a few pounds to boot.

i could be wrong, but from my understanding when u go with a full exhaust u need or atleast should have the bike remaped so your not leaning the bike out with the extra breathability. i went with the krtuned cf slip-on, it wuz about as much as the prices u have listed and that wuz even with $200 off sales price but its not to loud unless your really in the rpms, other wise its a decent moderate tone, non tingy or raspy.

I don't care for the dual look. I would like to drop a few lbs. and improve the sound.
You know it is too bad the bike manufacturers have not figured out how to incorporate a Mass Air Sensor into their fuel system. That would do away with the custom maps.
I guess what we are stuck with is something similar to the old Speed Density fuel system the '88 and earlier 5.0 Mustangs had. The '89s and newer had a MAS system - headers, bigger cam no problem the ECU would just tell the injectors to dump in more fuel based on the greater air flow through the MAS.

There is a Power Commander V for which you can buy the Auto Tune kit that includes an O2 sensor in a weld in bung that goes in the mid section of the pipe. Might not be as cost effective as the PC III with a company provided map. My personal recommendation would be the Muzzy M14/M10 combo with one of Muzzy's maps, not as good as a custom map but you willl save around $300 and have a great combo.

Muzzy's maps work very well. I had the Muzzy full system and their map on my 08 Busa and it was awesome. Getting ready to put the same setup on my 14.

What about going a full Brocks dual titanium system? Was looking at that earlier and thinking I may save my pennies for that one. Should work good with a PCV and auto tuner. I love the dual look, but want something better than slip ons. Brock has a full titianium dual with shorty pipes and CF ends that looks nice.
Anyone running that combo already?

If you go this route, save yourself some dough & just run Brocks map, they are very close. The auto tune will automatically adjust your fueling to a preset AF ratio, this does not always equate to optimum performance.

I was thinking of doing that, and then going to Seattle to get my bike run on the dyno and really set the map. Bit of a trip but well worth it.
