Water Wetter Anyone?

I am heading out to Button Willow race track next month and was told that I need to switch out the coolent and use water mixed with Water Wetter. Has anyone used WW? Can I use the WW all the time or would I have to replace the coolent when I get back. The track is about 400 miles from where I live and I want to change out the fluid before I ride out there. If I can leave WW in permanently, would I have to worry about engine corrosion? Here in Scottsdale I don't need to worry about freezing in the winter so I don't need antifreeze for that reason.

i run ww/distilled water and your right we wont have to worry about winter. theres a tiny bit of reg coolant in mine cause i didnt flush the system... in your case you will have to flush it to get ALL the antifreeze out..... i know it gets to 30* in phoenix so if your only doing one trackday then just add a bit of reg. antifreeze in after ya get home to protect it from freezing....

Talking red line

i use red line in my bike..follow the directions on the bottle exactly to avoid any problems....
i use a 50/50 mix for street riding, and change out every six months ...
you can run 100% w/w but dont leave in for long period of time..
definetly works though..
i live in az, so the more cooling i can get the batter...

He's doing a trackday. Glycol is not allowed because it's slicker than owlshit and a leak could cause a crash.

Coolant

I've got water wetter in mine-never drained the coolant out-just added to it.Guess it's doing okay-I didn't notice a difference to be honest.Certainly won't hurt your engine puttin it in there with only distilled water.Instructions say it does protect from corrosion in aluminum engines,or cast iron. The best coolant performance with Water wetter is a mix of coolant(50%)and the recommended amount of water wetter.Ya-no glycol on the track.........HELLO HAMMERHEAD!!!

First... please do not try to put straight Water Wetter in your radiator. It will not work like it is supposed to. I lived in Phoenix, Az last year & in the summer I changed to distilled water & 8 capfuls of WW, (they are very small), & it helped my 14 run 2 bars cooler on hot Az afternoons in July. Way better than the regular glycol coolant. It is easy, but be sure to flush your system well. The distilled water is the key to WW working at it's best.

Thanks Guy's.

Hey thanks for all the tips, much appreciated. I'll let you know how the weekend on the track turns out in about three weeks.
