3/4 throttel

Hey anyone use the 3/4 ON THE 14??? I would love it as you really have to turn that thing for full throttel but the first 3/4's is more than enough.....it's just the last 1/4....

I have seen a throttel tube that had faster rampping so you didn't have to twist so far. Like I said the first half way is great but twards the last 1/4 I'd like to come in a little sooner.

Only thing I've seen are G2 throttle tubes that help snatchiness off the bottom on FI bikes.

I use rifleman's 1/5 throttle insert. It give you WOT in 1/5 a turn, instead of the stock 1/4 turn.

Mostly for me just saves some wrist movement.

Pundits and skeptics aside, its a performance upgrade that gives you faster throttle response. Its got nothing to do with being lazy.

basically what that does is give you the full range of throttle motion with out having to twist yourself out of position, or re-position your throttle hand (going in, or comming out of a turn).

You will most likely need to modify your throttle cables for this mod, which includes cutting off the lock nut and trimming about 1/4 inch of the adjustment screw.

Instructions are available here

You can contact rifleman at Rifleman@hotmail.com

$25 shipped.

Did it change the first 1/2 of the throttle? I wouldn't want any more the first1/2 turn cuz in the turns its already hard to get back on the gas.....

Yes it will change the throttle all the way from idle to WOT. I don't have any problems with it in the twisties, but you do have to get used to the faster response.

Go order a R1 throttle tube for a 04-05. It works great and is cheap. And you dont have to modify your cables.

There is a post floating around here somewhere showing a simple process of putting a section of ty-rap under the throttle cable as it wraps around the attachment point on the throttle itself very cheap simple and effective

r.
Just pull the flies, get a good fuel map. Install the GI PRO or Ivans T.R.E and go down one tooth in the front sprocket (16 tooth) and up two in the rear (43 tooth) and you will have all the response you need [even at 1/4 throttle LOL]...However it WILL step out rather easily when leaned over if you are not real smooth.. also kinda scary in the rain if your'e not careful! Also you will need to purchase rear tires by the 6 pack <Speedy><
