Down Sized

Well gentleman and ladies (if we have any here) I am no longer a member of the Ninja power house club. I just got done doing the paperwork trading in my 09 14 for an 08 ZX10. I am not sure completely my reasoning, but part of it is that I am really wanting to get in to track days and although as shown today the 14 can indeed lean with the best of them, I just don't see myself tearing the track up in the big boy.

So, I just wanted to thank you all for your comments and insight through the past couple of months, and this is not really a good bye as I will still be participating on the forum.

I will get some pics of my new baby tomorrow when I pick her up. Thanks again and talk to yall later.

Yea totally. No offense to the 14 guys, but I felt the 14 to undersprung for my perfred type of riding. Loved to cruise on it and you could definetly turn it up on the twisties but just wasn't my ideal. Thanks.

Have fun on the track with the ZX-10 and take care. I'm going to Button Willow in November and depending on what happens I may pick up a used litre bike. I want to keep the 14 for the open road though.

Thank you for the support and wishes. I am really looking forward to it. I havent d one a track day since I had my GSXR 600 and participated in a piggy back at Texas Motorsport Ranch. But I am getting ready to go to fort hood in january so I will only be a "short three hours from there again.

Enjoy! Sounds like me. I'd have about 5 bikes in my garage...if I could only afford them all. About every 6 months to 2 years of so I feel the need for another flavor as well. Sold my 999 a while back (my track bike!!!) for the 14. Just wasn't making it to the track enough...4 hours away for both near my area.

Yea I am sure getting to the track between deployments and training will be hard esspecially being the 3 hr treck. But I am sure the times I make it are going to be worth it. And I may find a track closer just not sure yet where. 2WW

I would have gotten the 10 except it is too cramped for me, and my wife and daughter don't like sitting on the 39th floor of the Empire State building.
