Throttlemeister for 2010 ZX14?
The only Throttlemeister locks I've found for the 14's show to be for '06 - '08's. Do they make one for the '09's & '10's? I didn't know anything changed with the throttles on these bikes.
Any info much appreciated.

I would think they are the same. As long as the bar end bolt is the same size. They give an assortment of washers to adjust the lock to the throttle.

They WILL work! I have them on my '09. You will love um
**NOTE: They have nothing to do with the throttle itself. They are just bar ends. . . . .and the bars have NOT changed. But be advised that the people at Throttlemeister, are good people, and they will NOT leave you hangin' with a "NO FIT" part.
I recommend the HEAVY ones. Good luck!

I put this one on mine and its a wrist saver , not real cruise but close enough for my money and time . I chose this brand as I like the knurled knob as its easier to twist with gloves on
No I dont get kickbacks just like the lock and think others should know

PS: mine is a 09 and it fits fine

I was looking at these on you tube and the throttle meister website. I am still unclear as to how it works exactly. From the videos it would seem that it just maintains pressure on the throttle tube and stops the spring from moving back to rest. If this is the case.. Have any of you using this device noticed a gradual letting out of the throttle, ie. do you find yourselves having to readjust (constantly or ocassionally alike)? Thanks 2WW

I really dont leave mine on very long but you can tighten it to the point its hard to turn . Mostly when Im slabing it from point A to point B and a few min at a time.
It gives you a min or 10 to relax your right hand depending where you are and the road ahead .

cruise control
The inner mechanism slides up against the throttle grip plastic tube.Actually,I'm kinda unclear how it "slides up against"as well! But it doesn't seem to do it's little tightening thing when it's off the bar end.Go figure? They work though.

It's all the same. It will fit. If you have any questions for the install feel free to PM me if you can't sort it out with the manufacturer. Have them on all my bikes.
They are just a throttle lock via friction and can easily be overridden by just twisting the throttle lightly. It's NOT a cruise control so obviously you need to slightly readjust often with a slight movement of the throttle for speed adjust to to traffic, road incline/decline, etc. but they do not just "let out" on their own unless you didn't dial the friction up "enough".

Thanks for the info. Still kinda unclear on the mechanics of it. But if yall say it works, iI'll take you on your word. I am just very inquisitive about things like this.

It's a full billet assembly. The right side is the "lock". As you rotate the assembly (less than 1 full turn for full travel) an inner metal sleeve comes "out" of the assemble and pushes on the end of the throttle tube creating friction. VERY slick/smooth operation. The left side assembly is basically a matching, heavy bar-end weight. The "heavy" versions are most popular and help reduce vibration felt through the bars.

I have the meister on mine, and im sure it was designed to ride againt the throttle tube, however I shimmed mine out and blew the grip out a little so it would ride against the side of the grip. It seems to maintain better (less throttle drop off) and d rather wear a grip out than apply too much side force against the tube and break it.
