Anyone running Corbin hard bags or seat?

I'm tinking of getting the corbin hard bags and seat for my bike. I take a few long rides a year and the hard bags are so nice to have. I had them on my Honda VFR. I was thinking the seat cuz I ride with my son alot and the back rest is real nice also. What do you guys think about the Corbin Hard Bags?

errr, you may want to edit your post there.....

I hope you mean ride WITH your son, LOL.

How old is your son? I ride with my twins who are six, and I am wondering about the corbin seat with back rest as well. I understand that the stock cowl fits with it. Thinking I may get it next year.

For now I have been using a belt with handles for the kids to hold on to, as well as an extra 2" wide web belt to hold them to me so they do not slip off the back. I would feel a lot better with a back rest for them, and was thinking I would make a bracket to move it forward so they would still be held tighter to me.

The wife rides a cruiser with a back rest, but the kids always argue over who gets to ride on the jet fighter with Dad. They LOVE it, and I love taking them with me.

Let me know if you need a source for Street gear, I get ours direct from England and it is well made with CE armour. All we could find in Canada or the USA was motocross gear. We got them full gear that matches ours, and looks great as well as fits good and gives proper protection.

OP

Thanks for the heads up!!! Lol. Yeah I had the Corbin seat with the back rest on my VFR and my son who is 10 loved it. It makes them feel a lot safer. I think it's a winter purchase. Have to say the cowl didn't fit good at all with that seat though. And it's real heavy over the stock one.

Have the Corbin bags.....luv em...fit tight to the bike unlike the 1400s---Heavy duty fiberglass .... might save the bike in a downer

Some guys don't like the looks of the Corbin bags, but nobody I know who has them complains about their function. Even though they are weirdly shaped, you can pack a lot of stuff into all the nooks and crannies. If you liked the Corbin seat on another bike, you'll like it on your new one, too. They are better shaped than the stock seat, but tend to be a bit hard. I had a gel pad installed in the rider's portion of mine and it made it much more bearable for distance riding. You also might consider a Concours 14 seat which is a direct swap.

I like the Corbin bags but I need to bring my lap top to work and with the top door loading I'm not sure it will fit. Any thoughts? The lap top is 11x12
