i must agree with you my large friend dont use it unless your ready to back it up and im always ready even if your bigger than me or outnumber me ill find something in my envirioment to make it even, usually the helmet.

and back to the topic at hand screw your mirrors go with mirror caps and just look over your shoulder. like everyone said you dont need mirrors in <30 mph lane splitting

hmm, i got excited there for a minute, 2 pages of responses!

but not a single solution ... oh well, maybe i have to physically shorten them. that sucks..

only been a week and im gettin all nostalgic about the zzr1100 already! these wide mirrors are costing me more time in traffic than i can make up for with the extra 30kw!

Kinda a rock and a hard place as you could find mirrors with shortened stems but then cant see.
The only solution I read was to pull them in when lane splitting .
In this area lane is not legal nor inlegal so its up to the officer. I have gotten looks when I35 was stopped and I was overheating (not the bike but me ) and I split just to get off the road . Maybe our lanes are bigger out here ? I didnt have a issue as there was enough room
