Drag Racing Tire Recommendations

I have a 2006 ZX-14 with enough mods to get me in trouble on the drag strip. I was wondering what tires people are using with a dropped and stretched ZX-14. I am still on the Pilot Powers, but I will be making it to the strip soon. I have to daily ride the bike also, so I don't want full blown slicks.

Oh, I am still on the stock swingarm width.

Also I should say, that I am mainly looking for a wider contact patch so it's easier to launch on the street.

Whatevers' cheapest, since you'll be burning them off in no time at all.

almost all the draggers i talk to use shinkos. if your sponsered you can get them for around $100-$120. otherwise you can still get them for less than $160. they are sticky as hell but dont last really long on the strip. i know an old boy on a 14 thats burns through 5 or 6 of them a season. he says they work well enough on the street too.

hope this helps

I just ran a Shinko Stealth bald in about 2K miles of backroad riding. They do have a flat profile and when the center gets worn down it becomes very flat making turn in pretty abrupt but pretty good grip, definitely better than the factory Stones. I got a 200/50-17 off Ebay for $113 shipped.

I hear Shinko's are good for drag racing. In fact, I hear that's all they're good for.
