Tail Bag
I'm looking for a tail bag that will strap under the passenger portion of the seat cushion so no straps are touching the paint. I doesn't have to be very big - just enough to carry a few items.
Does anyone know of such a bag? I don't want straps rubbing against the paint.
Thanks!

There are a ton of tail bags out there that strap under the seat. But I used to use an old black fanny pack wrapped around the rear seat on one of my old bikes. It was big enough to throw my wallet, keys, phone, a couple packs of smokes and a zippo but still small enough not to look like I had a backpack strapped to the passenger seat.

I've been hunting around, and I think I'm going with the Axio tail bag.

I have the Axio Hardpack Tail Bag I bought from newenough.com and I think it is perfect for the zx14. It fits the passenger seat perfectly straps on securely with the velcro straps ( mine has been on for a year now with no movement at all ), comes with a strap to carry on your shoulder and a net that hooks to the bag to carry a spare folded up jacket or something about that size on top, its not waterproof but I gotten it wet lots of times and nothing inside has been wet yet. It even has a little butt pad for support when you' re riding a little quicker than usual ( not that I ever do that ).

Not a good idea if its only velcro holding it.

[quote=Toolman44092;167957]I got mine yesterday. My extra visor even fits in it, which I wasn't sure it would. It's tight, but I can get it closed. It seems to have a lot of room.

I said support, not to keep me on the bike. I do realize its only velcro on it but its nice to be able to slide back against it at speed.

It's a securely mounted bag as far as not moving at high speeds. It's not meant to hold you on the seat at the drag strip. Common sense should apply.

Its only $115.00 at newenough.com, which is the best price I found from anywhere around. Way better than a tank bag (not in your way and doesn' t scratch anything) and can turn into a shoulder bag if someone wants to ride with you.

I want one of these tail bags but I am not sure what color (silver or black)....I have a silver 08 14 with black powder coated wheels.....I want the silver one to match the bike....but is it the same color silver as the bike. Or do I play it safe and get the black?
Does anyone have the silver bag on a silver bike?

I got one of these bags after reading this thread, but for the life of me I can't figure out how you attached the front straps. Can you explain or better yet post a picture?
TIA

The front straps are very long, so I looped one to itself and them looped the other through it and pulled it tight.

Nice bag, looks small though. I use one of these on my ZX-11, but it straps down and would not suit your requirements.
