I'm going to go out on a limb here but my guess would be that the 14 gets the nod, but just barely...

aaaaa this topic always comes up.... to each their own, zx-12 owners are willing to chop off one nut defending their bike's supremacy, while us zx-14 owners grin... who knows? A friend of mine has a 12 and was dying to drag me a quarter almost stock, his only mod being a sawn-off pipe and a slam/stretch. So far it hasn't happenned and my baby got yoshi slip-ons now, but is something I am eager to find out.

 +2
I would only add that my regular riding partner has a 12r with a head kit on it, PC, slammed and stretched 6" and I got him in every respect! Granted I'm slammed and running a PCIII with filter and flies out but even when it was stock I was still taking him everywhere. No dis to the 12 owners I really do like the 12 I think it is one of the best bikes ever made but it is not a match for the 14, Performance wise that is, looks wise I feel like many do that is truely a matter of taste.

looks, it's a matter of personal taste; I gotta say, my friend's black 12 dropped and stretched with chrome rims is sure a looker... looks almost as good as my 14! hahahaha
