Congrats!
Your video comment says it's your 1st bike?
You're going to love it but be careful. It's so smooth and powerful, you'll be in trouble before you realize it.
take it EZ.

You are very right about the smoothness of the power. As with anything the bike is a tool. Use common sense I should come ahead.

I haven't been the biggest fan of the ZX-14 looks... but that is a good looking bike. Congrats. You will do just fine on it. Just be prepared for the "you are an idiot" and "your going to kill yourself" speeches. I had to listen to them when I started with a CBR900RR. Enjoy. Also.... especially on a bike... watch out for those soccer mom's.. driving suburbans.. with a car full of screaming kids.. on a cell phone. They'll get ya.

That is likely my favorite paint scheme on the 14 since they came out.

I was going to wait for this summer to buy this bike, but it seems around here the color was almost sold out. Found a dealer around here that had one on the showroom floor ready to go. Got it out the door for 12,000. You are right about the "killing yourself speeches". Talked to several kawi dealerships and they said that at the dealer show the were allocated so many. Everyone around here was allocated one of each.

Thumbs up 2008 SE was my first bike.

Throttle controle and common sense is the key. Picked it up the end of Aug. Have 10,000+ miles on it. Be safe.

I believe the 1st oil change is 600 miles and you're hitting 10 grand already?
Unless they changed the break in procedure, you shouldn't go over 6 grand until 1000 miles.
Some guys will dispute the break in but it's a not a big deal to pamper her during that time plus it gives you a chance to learn the bike.

The guy at the dealership told me that 500 mi was the break in period. I will consult the owners manual!! Besides i only hit that high twice and only once at full throttle. So if they told me wrong then nothing should really be hurt considering the few times i took her that high.

As far as slip-on's go, I have ordered the 2-bros carbon M2's. I have them on an FJR, and love the sound, as well as the weight savings. With no doubt, the 2-bros willsound great on the zx14!!! They should be in this coming week, and I am REALLY ANXIOUS to hear them.

Looks good !! But dont be fooled..RED IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE FASTEST COLOR !! Since yellow and red make orange I guess you have the SECOND fastest color.
