Lightbulb Satisfied with your 14 or thinking of an exchange ?

Over the years, I've always had a bike that I've put miles on it and within 1-2 years, it's gone. I've sold them it and bought something else. Since owning my 14R, interestingly enough, it hasn't happened.

I've been quite satisfied with the 14R because it has everything damn thing I need. Power, beauty and comfort.

What about you guys, any thoughts of selling to acquire something else? For me no interest but should I add yet (?) well you never know but for now, absolutely not.

Sometimes I miss my ZX6R...... only on the really twisty roads though. My wrists thank me for the 14R every time I ride in this shitty town I live in. The roads suck, so we pretty much ride out of town now anyways.... tour the smaller farm towns in a big loops usually about 100-150 miles per day. i don't think i would want to do that on a 6R anymore. Love my 14!

I'm on my 7th season with my first 14 and tried a whole bunch of other bikes and bought quite a few for the Mrs but nothing seems as good so bought the second 14.3rd season with this one. Other than a 14r nothing catches my eye out there.

I have owned lots of bikes but I like the ZX14R the best. Love the looks and the power

Agree with all the statements above. I could see maybe getting something else for the track but not to replace the 14. It's to versatile. Fast, comfortable, and it handles well.

I agree the 14R is a AWESOME bike..!!!! Especially when fitted with the right tires. I found that the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 transforms the bike even more so when you fit a 190/55 rear tire. I know they don't last long but oh well Perfection IS difficult to achieve....;)
I love it so.... I'm looking to pick up another one ....... next will have a little more power!!!!
Can you say TURBO 14R.
Yeah!!!

I bought a used 2008 zx14 April 2011 with 625 miles on it. At the time I still had my 2008 cbr1000rr but needed a better bike to ride 2up. June 2015 I traded zx14 (22,000+ miles on it) for a new 2014 zx14r and love it and see no need to get rid of it. BTW wrecked the cbr with 45,000+ miles on it in 2014 and bought a new zx10r, June 2014. The last 2 years in June I've bought a new ninja.

Every time I have to move this BBW around in the garage or back it down hill out of my garage I wish for a lighter bike. But once she's moving I cant imagine another skinny bitch replacing her

I don't see myself replacing it any time soon. haven't put many miles on her so it'll be a while before I even get to thinking of replacing her. if anything, I just want another bike sitting in the garage next to the 14. zx-10R? RSV4? need to ride some bikes, but once again, need to take care of other financial issues before I can start working on the Boss for financial support of ANOTHER ride.

Weight is the only complaint I have about BWII. Still, it's 50 lbs lighter than BWI, so it's more a function of my advancing age than any diss on the machine. My plan is to eventually replace it with something 50 lbs lighter again. I figure this strategy will extend my riding life until I can't hold up a phuckin' scooter.

I've had three big bore Kwaks and love them all, first was the ZZR1200 and I'm now on my second ZX14. I have put close to 200,000 miles on three of them combined. I have had lots of other bikes in the stable along side of them but it's always the big Kwaks that seem to get ridden the most and the furthest. I can't see myself changing to anything other than another 14 for most of the riding I do. I am 63 and so far I don't find the ergos or the weight to be an issue. I have got some painful arthritis that's developed over the past 2 years in my left shoulder and wrist, at some point that might become an issue to riding anything at all. I am a believer in better living through pharmacology. I always take an ibuprofen and tylenol cocktail before and after I ride to minimize the pain and discomfort. I do the same anytime I exert myself physically. My body is telling me it's getting older but my brain refuses to believe it. I have to relieve the stress on my left hand and shoulder by changing my position on the bars regularly and I generally do clutch-less upshifts to minimize the stress on the left wrist but I usually shift like that anyway. I have had other bikes that are far more uncomfortable than the 14. For now as long as I can swing my leg over the saddle and hang onto the throttle I will stay with the 14.

I love the 14 even though I've only had it for a year. As someone above said though, I definitely miss having my 6R on the really twisty mountain roads but I wouldn't consider getting rid of it for that purpose, if anything I'd get a used 6R as a 2nd bike.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say the 14R will basically stay unchanged with it's impressive features but probably in 2020...well...they'll take the leap and do something drastic? would be my guesstimation.

I'm still stuck on Chevy Fan's idea with 15R ? man that would be crazzzzzy. Can you imagine in 2020 if they consider that option? Not too far off because it's already 1441cc.
