First Crash
I had my first crash today on my 2007 ZX14. They say its not a matter of "if" only "when" and today was my "when".
I went off the road of an interstate on-ramp at about 70-80mph. The bike mechanically seems to be fine but of course, the plastics and such are destroyed.
Being my first accident, I don't know where to go to get the best deals on replacement parts, manuals, accesories and what ever else I will need to put her back together....
Any advice from anyone is greatly appreciated....thanks ...
Mike...

Glad to see you are posting this yourself. That means, you are at least alright. If your bike was stock and you need it, I have the exhaust, rear fender and windscreen. Just let me know. I'm sure others have plastics, too.

Ronayers.com
i've done 2 rebuilds with them. They are not cheapest on everything, but are very competitive on the big ticket items. Last time they had a special on free shipping, so
I ended up getting the small stuff from them to.
It is a big plus to be able to print explosion views from the web site and highlight things you need before ordering.
Take the opportunity to buy extra fasteners and washers and stuff for later.

Did you get hurt at all?
A crash is scary and surreal all at the same time. Looking back on it I'm sure you will learn a lot from this experience. Glad you made it out alive.

Check with www.zzrparts.com. This is the outlet for leftovers from the building of T-Rex 3-wheelers and I believe they are now using the ZX-14 motor and accessories. You may be able to get a whole motorless chassis for about the price of new (retail) bodywork.

There are a few 1400 T-Rexes on the roads already. With the high price and low volume, the motorless chassis' from the current run may have been bought up by now, but I'm sure they'll be making more.

Glad you're ok.
The shipping for plastics can be expensive not because of the weight, but because the boxes are bulky.
You might try your kawi dealer where you bought it. If you can negotiate a 10 to 20 percent discount, you will come out close to internet prices. Course you have to pay tax.
You will also get 1st quality parts from the dealer and if anything is damaged, they will reship for free. download or buy a service manual. You can do this job yourself and save a fortune in labor costs.

bodywork
That looks like a really good deal-HOWEVER(I say this cautiously)his statement about "broken parts"due to shipping and "ALMOST"invisible scratches in the clearcoat and on metal parts is sending up a red flag to me(course,I'm not buying one). The guy I bought from shipped it complete and WITHOUT any blemishes or "conditions".You'd probably be okay getting this kit-just don't expect it to be flawless(he's already said it might not be)Good Luck-the green is cherry!!

Or you could get a complete custom painted OEM set from here http://www.grindazinc.net/grindazintro.htm for about the same price as you would spend getting plastics from a discount OEM dealer or less. The custom painted sets come with the tank too, the tank alone is about $600.00 from a discount dealer.
So check them out. They also have free shipping and throw in a color matched helmet.
