those guys still selling the zx10 fender brackets over on the other forum?
Your bike looks great, were you overheating? Did you try and just remove the fender airfoils first?

yeah they're still selling them. i bought brackets from donny. they didn't match well so i had my neighbor weld me some more, but they were the brackets that he had to go by to make the ones that are on the bike now. i wasn't overheating i just decided to go for the look. i found a red fender on ebay for $57 shipped. i paid for the brackets and had to buy a couple 6x14mm bolts. the bolts are threaded into the brackets and i put a dab of locktite on them to make sure they wouldn't back out. the process was a p.i.t.a to get the brackets to fit properly but i like how it turned out btw, don't mention to anyone that the brackets didn't work. i've talked to donny and he's fixed the problem now so no worries

I really like the look of that shorter fender. So, a stock ZX-10 front fender will bolt right up w/ the brackets you speak of?

I have an '07 SE... I found a 2004-2005 ZX-10R front fender. They look just like the '06-'07 fender. Is it? Does anyone know? Or will I need to get an
'07 fender?

I have not contacted him yet. I want to be sure I have a fender first. Yes, I have to have it painted cuz it's green. I have the Crystal Pearl SE. I'm thinking of painting my side panels, so I can paint the fender as well. Here are pics of the fender of an '04-'05 ZX-10R:

looks like the fender is in perfect shape. ask the seller if he's got a couple 6x14mm hex bolts that came with the fender. he'll probably say no but it doesn't hurt to ask. my neighbor had some black bolts at work he let me have to match the sides of the fender. hope everything works out for you. i know you'll be pleased once the project is finished. dubious was asking $80 tell him i recommended him to you and see if you can talk him down a little. he's a good guy. lives in canada so i'm sure shipping and the fact that he had the brackets professionally machined make up most of the $80.

I agree seeing in person should answer all questions. RR lives about 20 miles from me.

Well...not everyone. I think you just ripped out the soul of the 14 with that ersatz fender.
