Looking to install a Stabilizer on my 14

Hey Guys,
Looking for help on this. I'm looking to purchase a Stabilizer probably a GPR V4, are these any good looking to stop the "bar shacking" at high acceleration. Any ideas on Brands, types, etc......

Thanks

Yeah it gets a little "light" when I'm off in first and second. I have ridden my sons Aprilia Mille RSVR with the Olins stabilizer and no movement what so ever when the front slightly lifts.

I ordered one last week and believe it is being delivered today. I went with the GPR V1. Indysuperbikes has it for $360, kind of hard to pass up. If you call them they can get other colors than the ones listed.

I ordered it because from time to time the front wheel gets a little wobbly while at the drag strip when I am shifting to second when the wheel comes up and sometimes when I shift to third and the front end gets a little light. I don't know if it is completely necessary but I think it is worth the relatively little amount of money to keep me alive if something were to go wrong.

Yes that is exactly what happens to me. From first to second that slight "light" feeling! $360 sounds like a great price thanks for the Info LowCel!

Mine does the same thing and I definitely want a stabilizer. I heard scott's stabilizers are another good one to go with and I quote Evilsports here..."For the drags you may be better off with the GPR. If you want the best out there for both strip and street go with the Scotts. It has a constant high speed damping valve that is always working for you. NO other damper out there has this option." http://www.scottsperformance.com/Sta...n=&BI_ID=18505 Just my $.02

Received my GPR today, wasn't able to mount it though. I purchased a socket for it but didn't think to get a thin wall socket. The one I got won't work. :( The good news is I get to go tool shopping. :D

Yeah the only problem I see with the Scotts device is that you have to drill holes in the triple tree with the GPR no holes need to be drilled. Not a big deal just to lazy to drill

Actually I sent that picture to my brother showing him why he couldn't keep up the other day on his FZ1. I hit the recall button to show my top speed from when he wanted to "race".

You have to have a speedohealer installed to do it. The speedohealer allows you to correct your speedometer, odometer, convert mph to kph, and bypass the top speed shut off. On top of that it has a button on it (or you can get a remote mount button like I have) that allows you to see the top speed. It holds the top speed until you reset it. It's a great function to have when dropping your bike off for work to be done or when letting someone test ride your bike.

My favorite part is knowing how fast I am going when I go past a cop, it's also nice to have true mileage on my odometer instead of it showing 8% more miles than it actually has.
