Just wondering if anybody out there has installed a TRE on an 08 yet. With the 08's secondary throttle's opening sooner I am wondering if this mod will result in any more noticable torque. Any thoughts?
Just pull the flies if you're that worried about it. Not worth loosing your gear indicator, even if you get a TRE with a peel an paste gear indicator..........

I have read that it's a waste to pull them on an 08 because of the revised computer opening them sooner. I was just wondering if a TRE would give it even more bottom end grunt?
. All a TRE does is trick your ECU into thinking it's always in 6th gear where if I understand correctly the flies are pretty much always full open. Only problem with that, especially with early TRE's is that your gear indicator on the gauge cluster will always read 6. I don't know about you guys, but I happen to like my gear indicator. Newer TRE's come with a gear indicator attached to the TRE with double sided tape so you can tape it to the gauge cluster.....no thank you....
