I HAVE A 07 ZX-14 AS YALL MIGHT KNOW....OK I LEFT WORK, I ROAD ABOUT 15-20 MILES TO A BIKE SHOP....THEN I LEFT AND ROAD ABOUT ANOTHER 15 MILES GOT STOPED BY A TRAIN AND HAD TO SIT IN TRAFFIC SO I KILED MY BIKE BUT I LEFT THE KEY ON SO THE FAN WOULD RUN....WENT TO START IT AND IT WOULDNT START....SO I WALKED IT IN TRAFFIC... THEN IF FINELY STARTED ROAD ABOUT 15 MORE MILES TO THE HOUSE AND KILLED IT AND TRYED STARTING IT AGAIN AND NOTHING.... WAITED ABOUT 20-30 MINS AND IT STARTED....WTF ANY ONE KNOW WHAT THE DEAL IS TO HOT OR WHAT....SO FAR THIS BIKE HAS NOT INPRESSED ME AT ALL.....

Check your battery cables first. You might even have your battery tested but for sure check for a loose ground.

I had a small prob like that when mine was new the dealer prep didn't get the main fuse side tight on the battery and it would snap an arc sometimes when I started it then one time it did what yours did then was fine before I could find the prob?? Did it again but this time it I pulled the side covers thought I blew the main fuse repalced it and it was fine looked at the old fuse it looked good metered it it was fine put it back in and it started again so I inspected the connections and found the positve to be loose.at the fuse.
