The zx-10 is just as fast as the zx-14. its the rider that makes the diffrence. if i were not so concerned about 2 up riding i would bought the green monster.

Some of the things that make the 14 comfortable are the higher clipons and lower rear sets. these mods can easyly be done to the 10r. you may not want to give up yet.

Sometimes i miss my 636 it had better frontend feel and lighter brakes. i dont miss the riding position as compared to the 14.

one thing i like about the 14 is that it has a wide tank that is easy to grip with your knees. you will need to put knee grips on the 10r tank.

Rikkuss is right about the rider being the difference. The 14 is a much more comfortable ride and it gets more attention than the standard sportbikes.

My last bike was a R6 and I rode my buddies GSXR 1000 and not that I have my 14 I would not go back to the crunched up riding that these two bike I mentioned offer. My buddy got stopped by the cops and he called me to get the bike because he has no license. I had to ride his 1000 home and could not stand it. Considering the 14 and his 1000 are similar in performance numbers on paper the 14 and the busa just feel better when you twist the throttle.

Get the 14, you will be more satisfied with the ride, torque, and attention (That was conceided but hey if you don't ride a 14 or a 08 busa you just blend in with the crowd)

I rode a buddies Honda CBR 1000RR home for him and my balls were screamin' at me halfway home. Can't beat the comfort of the 14. I'm 6'3" and this thing fits me like a glove. Not to mention their relative exclusivity when going to bike nights and such. Can't wait till I'm comfortable enough to wear down my chicken strips all the way......
