Is there any risk of the ballasts getting hot and melting the plastics?

I haven't had any issues and mine sit right on the shelf underneath the rt/lt back fairings back towards the tank. I've not heard of any such issue either......

Just broke down and ordered a set of H9's as well. Figured might as well have all four of my lights HID's. I also orderd a couple of relays and some clear led corner lights. :D

I have put 4 pieces of 8.000K HID's on my ZX14. They are awesome. Tilted the low beams a little lower, though.
