Question 350 mile ride last saturday on the zx14

Hey everyone,

I went for a long ride on saturday, I have had my 14 for 3 weeks ( I had a zx12R before). Just thought I would give some thoughts on the comfort / lack of during the ride.

My bike is stock except for the Corbin peg extenders ( moves the pegs about an inch).

I was fine until I hit 4 hours in the saddle - after that my left knee was killing me - I think this was due to the peg extenders - they also move the peg out ( away from the center of the bike slightly) - I think that slight angle was the issue, I have removed them.

The bike ran great - the route we took was through some very twisty roads in Washington State. Only issue way on the way home I stopped for a light after getting off the freeway, the heat gauge went to the top - 1st time I have seen that. It didn't give me a warning and as soon as I took off again it came back down to 3 bars.

Anyway - just thought I would share.

I rode for about 3 1/2 hours on Saturday and my only complains were my new gas milage and the fact that I wanted to ride some more and my buddy that has a busa was beat so we took it down for the night.

I wish the mileage was better also - but I guess you want to play - you have to pay !

Sunday I did 360 miles, and I noticed my left cheek was a lot more sore than the right. And no, not the ones under my helmet. Might look into this. Anyone tried it?
