Hello from a new guy.
Hi fellas. I'm new to the forum and figured I'd introduce myself. Name Kevin and I'm from Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. 33 years old. Work in the oil/gas sector up here in the Great White North. My bike is a 2008 ZX14 SE. I've had it a month and I love it. So far mods are:
-Puig Dark Smoke 2X Bubble
-Black Spike Fairing and Windscreen bolts (in transit)
-Secondary Flies yanked
-Delrin sliders and spools
-Pipercross Race air filter
-Vortex Black anodized "shorty" levers
-Vortex 16 tooth front sprocket
-Pingel electric shifter with Ignition Kill Module (sitting in a box waiting for the dealer to install on the 15th.. This was one mod I didn't feel comfortable doing myself)
-Ti Force full 4-2-1 Titanium exhaust system
-PCIII
I look forward to sharing and learning from you fella's!

Why put them in to begin with?
I agree Kawasaki has sped up the opening of them in the 08 model, but I figure why even have them in there? They will never open as fast as they do when they are not in there anymore. You'll here different stories from different people as to the results of this. I can't give you an honest seat of the pants answer because I did a few other things at the same time. I have seen others dyno charts though that show a much smoother torque curve, with additional ft/lbs particularly in the sub 4000rpm range.

A few updates:
-Pingel Shifter installed
-All spiked goods arrived and installed
More mods ordered and on the way:
-Cycle Logic Stage 1 (250hp) Turbo kite with megaphone exhaust
-Set of Pirreli Diablo III front and rear
-Two rear Shinko Ultra Soft
-Pingel Drag Strut
-Pingel Wheelie Bars
-Spare wheel/sprocket/rotor for street/strip swaps
-MSD Launchmaster 2 Step
-Muzzy Adjustable Kickstand
-Camera Mount
-CCFL Red Halo's for high and low beams
-55w Digital HID for low beams
-Brocks lowering straps and caliper brackets
The idea is not to have to stretch my bike. The way I figure a guy can invest the money in a strut and wheelie bar and spare wheel. Swapping out the shock for the strut, swapping wheels, and mounting wheelie bars is around an hour job. You don't need to worry about extensions, longer chain/more slack, ground sprockets from keeping your chain ridiculously tight, custom shock if you really want to get the suspension dialed in. This way you're in and out of strip mode in a short time. No sacrifice of stock wheelbase and the handling inherent to it. Opinions?

Congrats Evilsports on your great looking 2008 ZX-14 SE and the mods.
Yesterday, I made a deal on a 2008 ZX-14 SE which I should take delivery of next week. I traded in my ZX-11.
What product(s) did you apply to the flat black and red paint - looks terrific!
Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise.

Thanks, and welcome to the Busa killing club! lol. On the paint I just wash with auto soap, towel dry, once a week I'll rub some Turtle Wax Liquid Ice into it (blue bottle at Canadian Tire easy peasy and lasts forever), any other time I just spray Plexus on after I dry it and give it a quick wipe. The Plexus actually gives you the better shine, but the Turtle Wax Ice is amazing when it comes to bug control. Bugs just don't stick nearly as much. I was so impressed by it I tried it on my visor, and now do my entire helmet every time I do my bike.

Thanks for the product info, Evilsports. I'll be sure to check them out.
Since I''m also interested in an aftermarket exhaust system, would you be kind enough to share your reasons for selecting the TiForce versus Muzzy versus Micron etc. I see by the dyno chart at the TiForce web site that the high-mount system has better performance specs versus the TiForce standard mount. I trust that there are no potential adverse heat issues due to the close proximity to the right rear side panel with the high-mount.
Your help is appreciated!

To be honest, I bought the Ti Force Hi mount based on the same thing you're doing. Asking around forums, looking at dyno specs etc. If you aren't in a big hurry, mine will be for sale for around $500 less than a new system as soon as my turbo system gets here and is installed. I also have a killer PCIII fuel map that will go with it. Like I said though, ask around. talk to people that know. If you settle on the Tiforce (Full titanium, light as a feather) let me know. Mine had around 1000 miles on it now plus what ever I put on it up until my turbo is installed.

I'll definitely keep your TiForce in mind. Please send me a PM when it becomes available.
Where were you able to buy the Plexus Plastic Cleaner? As yet, I haven't been able to find a source in the Toronto area. I would prefer not to have to go through the hassle of having it sent up from the U.S.
Many thanks!!

I get the Plexus from my Kawi dealer. The TiForce should be available in a week or two, turbo kit gets shipped tomorrow. Few more pictures of the strip setup.. (I decided to go with a spare wheel/sprocket/rotor combo because I'm running a strut and wheelie bar. That way I can keep my stock wheelbase and just swap out the shock and wheel and bolt on the bars)
(I know I'm a photo whore)
