Finally at 600 miles

I decided to hold off on any performance mods until I reached the 600 miles. I want to use extensions, should I add links to the chain or purchase a longer chain?

Wow you bought it used with 207 miles on it? Who buys a bike then sells it with only 207 miles on it?

Was an impulse buy for him? His loss is your gain I guess...

The first mod I did was take out the secondary flies. I was not sure about it and ask everyone here, but like everyone else says it does give a huge power boost.

congrats bro! I don't think any other bike riders know (exept other also very lucky and proud zx14 owners!) what a wonderful machine we have its the ultimate motorcycle complete in just about every aspect there's really no need to do anything to this machine exept personalize ur own. Cheers to you and happy riding bro!!

Personally I would just get another chain and save the one you have with the factory swing arm ends in case you decide to replace it back to factory setup you can just slap the old chain on that's my plan for summer drag strippin.

Don't forget to look into a longer rear brake line, I recomend a braided line to help keep expansion of the longer rubber line making your braking less effective.

PCIII, flies out, exhaust system and filter easiest mods you can do and relatively cheap with good results should net you around 180, 190hp if everything is good qaulity and the map is good.

Thanks I ordered the muzzy m10 can, the guy I bought the bike from gave me a full exhaust but I don't care for the round can. I'll post pictures next week when I'm done

I bought my 06 14 used as well. thought it was an aweful good deal for the money (11.2 K) 800 miles and about 4 grand worth of stuff added. untill i was cleanin it up after adding the first 500 miles and felt the over spray on the inside of the ram intake They did a very good job of covering up there mistake. In fact if it werent for that, then tearing into it to see what else was wrong (wrong color panel that was painted on edges to cover up) Im still ok with it. The shop I bought it from got it as a buy bid from vegas. so Ill hold no grudges with them. Long Story short. I'd be afraid of buying low mile bikes like that again.
