What length chain to use?

I am currently running stock gearing with a stock size chain. I plan to drop the front sprocket down 1 to a 17t. I am going to keep the rear sprocket stock. Can i still use a stock length chain or do i have to shorten it? Thanks

You should be good with the stock length.

for future reference, check out http://gearingcommander.com/

select your bike make/model in the top drop down lists and load the gearing. then you can change the sprocket count and see the calculated effects.
