How much is my bike worth?
I've been trying to sell my bike the last few months, but I have a feeling I have been asking too much, and I don't want to get screwed by asking too little.
It's an '03 ZX12R with under 7000 miles...a couple of small mods (undertail, flush turn signals)...never been dropped. A small paint imperfection where some of the decals were (I took off the smaller decals and it was slightly lighter under the stickers than the surrounding paint).
Just wondering, because I have a guy offering me $5k, but that seems kind of low to me. I don't honestly know, though.
Thanks :D

Blue Book is right around $5800...and considering this is the end of the season and everyone's broke, it's become quite the buyer's market. Now, I can't tell you what they've been going for and maybe you might want to look into that by checking out CycleTrader, Ebay and Craigslist and see what other people are asking. But, if you're really wanting to sell it, you may have to take a little bit of a hit on it. Good luck with the sale.

Sometimes the first offer is the best or only offer. You could end up spending a couple hundred on advertising and wasting your time with tire kickers. Depends on how valuable your time is. If you end up sitting on it till next year, it will be that much older and dropping in value. I would try and bump him up a few hundred and see if he bites.

I wouldn't expect you to get more than $5000.

Don't know if this will help you decide, but I just saw this on Portland's craigslist.
2002, 6200 miles, some mods, asking $5500

I'll give you $10.oo for it. I know it's worth more, but it's what I can afford.
