Clutch basket shattered

So like the title says my clutch basket completely shattered, im gettin it replaced with a billet one, is there anything i should worry about, i tried cleaning the metal out the most i can but a buddy wants to take the engine apart and make sure no metal chunks in it. He wants me to send the tranny off and get it race cut. I just bought this bike and i wish i would have had it more thoroughly checked. Sense im going to throw a grand at this bike right now is there anything else you guys think i should have checked out or replaced.

If I were you, I'd do whatever I had to to make sure all of the metal is out of the engine. The last thing you want is to start the bike and blow it up on your test ride.
