zx12 vzx 14

i'm not as informed with the zxr's as gsxr's but the 02-03 zx12 seems a better option

zx12-247 kg wet zx14 269kg wet with both about 178hp , one 174mph the other 178 mph top speed
both 9.9- 142 mph 1/4 mile

what are your opinions between the 2 ,my and missus long distance comfort has to be considered also
cheers -Ken

The 12 looks better. The 14 is a better machine. Time marches on....

thanks fellas, my 91 750 is getting suspension softened - 10mm rider sag stock
I've got a r1 shock to go in -high and low speed dampning adjustments
spring rate is lower , should work out good

The 91 ZX7 (or ZXR750) is a great bike but long distance comfort sucks. After a 300 mile day you'll both be sore. The 12 and 14 are both great bikes. The 12 has a tall first gear with stock gearing. The 14 transmission is more real world oriented. The seating on the 14 is better than the 12 for long distance riding. I've ridden all 3 you're discussing and I own 2 of the 3. My brother owns the other one. I do speak from experience.

That's me. You can never go wrong with a ZX7 in my opinion. And you're welcome.
