Another question--Can throttle throw be reduced?

I've ridden my 2000 ZX-1200 once, and the throttle seems very tight. Not quite like a light switch, but there's very little subtlety to it. Is there a way to increase the amount of twist needed to get it through its range? I have a Power Commander. Can it be used to change the throttle response?

Someone may of done some sort of a Quick Action Throttle modification to it, you will have to open it up to check. It could be a plastic insert or a Ty wrap. Personally I went for the zx10r twist grip.

Most people fit a zx10r throttle tube (lots of kawasaki's have this fitted as standard but not the zx12r) this just fits with all the slack and slight twists taken out of the cable, it works and feels really good.

You can file out the groove where the throttle cable winds, but you may have to grind a bit off the stop to get some extra degrees of twist. And if you have push-pull dual throttle cables, you would have to grind all the way around the drum to make it work as it should,

It may be a pig, but it's a pig with a rocket in it's ass!
