Introduction and radiator question...

Hi all,

My crimbo shopping was a ZX12R 2000 A1. Have trawled tbrough various posts and going to do the air vacuum pump removal along with the wiring mod. My radiator is looking tired and only 2002+ are available on evilbay. Will this fit my 2000 model people? Also, spotted a coolair manual switch, again, for the 2002+ model, will this also fit?

Cheers.

Without some modification, the radiator from a 2002+ won't work on an A1.

The mounting brackets and sensor are located in different spots and they are designed for 2 fans instead of the single that was on the 00 and 01.

If the rad isn't leaking, you can remove it, carefully straighten the fins out and give it a fresh coat of black VHT.

It may be a pig, but it's a pig with a rocket in it's ass!
