well I finally got the bike ive been after for along time found me a 2000 with 13k in permission red. one thing I have noticed is this thing requires quite a bit of muscle to turn, it does have a 190-55r17 on the back now so I got to look at the geometry and possible drop the front down a little, will get all the measurements before I start messing with anything though lol as of right not my zx11 turns in so much easier then this does, nothing is blocking or holding it back just requires a lot of push it for the turn and strong arms to hold it through the turn

I dropped the front of mine 12mm (meaning forks sitting 12mm above the lowest part of the clipon) and it was on the edge of too much. 8mm would be a good starting place and work it from there. A little goes a long way on these bikes.

Hey Rick.
Congrats on the new bike!

I have to agree with you, in that it's definitely harder to get turned than the 11s. I have the 200 factory size tire on there and it took some getting used to.

I'm going to drop it down in size for the next tire change though.

Bring it out next time we head up your way.

BTW... Whatever mods you decide on doing.... don't get a full muzzy for that bike.

190/55 rear tire
full muzzy is fine when you get pcV and auto tune ,to eliminate flat spot

WISNIA, yes same bike. front isn't dropped, but I rechecked and it does have the lowering dogbones. ordering factory set, plus it is on the lowest one, got to get a regular kick stand too before I switch it is shortened as well. bike rides and shifts perfect, no motor noise ticks ect. it supposedly has a ivan tune on the factory ecm, does have a Yoshi slip on, eventually ill go with full system and have it re-tuned or get a pc5 or more then likely the 3 cause I wont do all the extra crap that the 5 offer's

pvc most definitely will hit you guys up. bike is as fast as my 11 was with full motor build lol love the 11 though

He lowered it for top speed runs he hit 200mph couple times he send me pics and nice. Place to do it...he seemed like a guy that cares about motocycles, btw if you go 190/55 you might lose top speed i think ill.go 200/55

Mine has a 200 from the P.O. with quite a bit of tread left but I bought a 190 that I'll throw on soon. It turns OK but I know the smaller tire will be better. I've done 2500 miles in two years on the 200 and am looking forward to the 190. I know it will never turn like my ZX10 but it's still a fun ride.
